Top 10 happiest places to live in the United States
The COVID-19 pandemic caused widespread stress. After the worst of the virus passed, Americans made an effort to find happiness in their changed reality – often through reconnecting with family, friends and familiar activities.
But what some people might not realize, says WalletHub financial writer Adam McCann, is that where a person lives also can determine how happy they are.
Location plays a hand in a person’s outlook. The availability of ways to improve your mentals and physical state and form social bonds, as well as job satisfaction and financial well-being, all contribute to a more positive perspective.
In order to determine which United States cities offer more of these opportunities, McCann drew on positive-psychology research and evaluated 180 of the largest cities based on 30 indicators of happiness.
The following 10 cities exhibited the best combination of those factors.
