WalletHub compared more than 180 U.S. cities based on 48 key metrics, such as the cost of housing, the quality of local school and health-care systems, and the opportunities for fun and recreation.
Each metric fits under five key dimensions: family fun; healthy and safety; education and child care; affordability; and socio-economics.
Overland Park, Kansas, headed the best places. It ranked No. 1 in affordability, No. 4 in socio-economics; No. 7 in education and child care; No. 26 in health and safety; and No. 100 in family fun. Its overall score was 72.48.
