Top 10 best states for children’s health care
Children are the future, and while that statement may be a cliché, it doesn’t make it any less accurate. And as such, it is vital for children to receive quality health care.
WalletHub compared all 50 states and the District of Columbia to see where each one ranked in terms of children’s health care, using 35 key indicators of cost, quality and access to children’s health care.
The website states, “Our data set ranges from share of children aged 0 to 17 in excellent or very good health to pediatricians and family doctors per capita.”
Taking all of the data, WalletHub determined the District of Columbia ranked the highest with a total score of 60.89.
The District of Columbia ranked No. 1 in kids’ oral healthy, No. 2 in kids’ health and access to health care and No. 3 in the kids’ nutrition, physical activity and obesity categories.
