The Municipal Top 10: States with the most UFO sightings
Housing Halloween, October carries with it an air of mystery. People delight in the tales of the unexplained, often trading them alongside candy.
If anything fits into that atmosphere, it’s unidentified flying objects. 2020 saw the Pentagon officially release UFO videos, so why not spotlight states that have the most sightings?
Satellite Internet released its list of “States with the Most UFO Sightings in 2020” on June 24, noting, “Last year, Americans reported almost twice as many UFO sightings to the National UFO Reporting Center than the previous year – jumping from 3,456 sightings in 2018 to 6,340 sightings in 2019.
Furthermore, in the first three months of 2020, the number of UFO sightings was 112-percent higher than the first three months of 2019.
The states with the most UFO sightings so far in 2020 are below:
- Idaho – 9.18 UFO sightings per 100,000 people
- Montana – 9.17
- New Hampshire – 7.87
- Maine – 7.22
- New Mexico – 6.2
- Vermont – 6.09
- Wyoming – 6.05
- Hawaii – 5.16
- Washington – 5.07
- Connecticut – 4.94
