When that season is storm season, HLA attachments are at their best. Conventional buckets, on the other hand, require that one worker drive up and dump a load of topsoil, and others spread it — a process that requires several members of the work crew. Side discharge buckets reduce the labor and time required to do that same task.

Spread topsoil or aggregate material on flowerbeds or medians by attaching the side-discharge unit to the front of a small wheel loader. Side discharge is also a tremendously time-saving advantage in trenching operations, where it adds fill sand both quickly and evenly.
