Last year 24/7 Wall Street evaluated the nation’s largest cities in terms of how they’re run. The site’s researchers took into consideration the local economy, crime, job market and gave weight to the general welfare of the population as they could determine it.

Among their findings was that the cream of the crop represent a mix of red and blue leadership. Notably, most of them also enjoy a AAA debt rating.
