Cincinnati Parks Receives Charity Navigator Highest Ranking
Cincinnati, OH – The Cincinnati Parks Foundation received a Four Star rating from Charity Navigator, a nonprofit that evaluates the Financial Health and Accountability and Transparency of 6,000 of America’s largest charities. This is the 2nd consecutive Four Star rating for the Cincinnati Parks sharing this honor with only 17% of the charities reviewed.
Charities are rated on seven Performance Metrics including: Program and Administrative Expenses; Fundraising Efficiency; Primary Revenue and Expense Growth and Working Capital Ratio. The Parks received a nearly perfect score of 69.96 out of 70 for its financial health and a 59.00 on Accountability & Transparency giving an overall total of 62.21, or a 4 star ranking.
Cincinnati Parks Foundation works to build broad-based private/public partnerships supporting the conservation and enhancement of our city’s parks and greenspaces. The Foundation is fully funded by private contributions, grants, planned gifts, corporate and in-kind support.
Cincinnati ranked 4th among the top 30 U.S. metropolitan areas for philanthropy, according to this same study conducted by Charity Navigator.
